Roman Amphitheater

The Roman Amphitheatre of Cagliari, dates from the end of the first and the first half of the second century a.D., is placed along the southern hillside of Buoncammino. It represents one of the most significant archaeological sites of Cagliari and in general of the Sardinia during the Roman Age. It has an elliptic form with visible subterranean and steps inside the stone. Today the amphitheatre welcome many shows and concerts during summer.

   

Bastion of Saint Remy 

One of the most important fortifications of Cagliari, located in the historic district of Castello. At the end of the nineteenth century it was transformed into a staircase, topped by a triumphal arch, which gives access to a large roof terrace from which you can see the panorama of the city.

   

San Pancrazio Tower

Defensive structure designed by local architect Giovanni Capula and built by the Pisans in 1305, it’s the highest tower of Cagliari. From there you can see amazing views of the city.

   

Municipal Art Gallery

The Municipal Art Gallery is housed in a neoclassical building in the Public Gardens, in Dessì largo. It features two permanent collections: Collezione d'Arte Ingrao (19th-20th century) and Collezione Sarda del Novecento (20th century Sardinian artists).

   

Molentargius Park

The Regional Park of Molentargius - Saline is situated between Cagliari and Quartu S. Elena and includes two sweet water basins (Bellarosa Minore and Perdalonga) and one salted water basin (Bellarosa Maggiore o Molentargius). There you can rent a bike and visit the oasis. You can find a lot of rose flamingos. There is a children area too.

   

Citadel Of Museums

Located in the district of Castello, the Citadel of Museums houses some of the most important artistic treasures of the city, as the Archaelogical Museum and National Art Gallery. The complex is home to the Anatomical Waxes Collection and the Siamese Museum, too..

   

Bonaria Sanctuary

Religious complex consisting of a small Catalan Gothic church dating back to the 14th century (the Sanctuary) and the Basilica, which was built around the 18th century in the Neoclassical style. The Sanctuary Museum safeguards archaeological finds, naval models, church ornaments and ex-votos. The original wooden case containing the revered statue of Our Lady of Bonaria.

   

Poetto Beach

Our residence is located more or less 10 minutes from Poetto beach, the first beach of Cagliari. It is considered one of the most beautiful Sardinian beaches. It's the favourite beach of Cagliari's inhabitants but not only. The long, white beach of Poetto (about 4km) stretches along the seafront of Cagliari. The vastness of the sandy shore makes it highly attractive. It is heavily patronized by all kinds of sea and sun enthusiasts. Devil’s saddle: The Devil’s Saddle is one of the most significant features of Cagliari. Thanks to its particular geo-morphological shape it is a symbol of the city skyline, especially of the Poetto beach. You can reach the beach from us by car but also by CTM bus with the lines PF, PN, PQ, 9P.
